“A heart that never doubted. A field unplowed. Peaceful. Undisturbed. Fruitless. Barren.”

Guess which sheep I am? Hint, the one that sits and writes sad poetry and lonely thoughts, while everyone is playing.

Just a perfect message. I was just in contemplation about such a concept the other day. How the striving and struggling of the intellectually active must yield a higher reward than the unquestioning acceptance of the simple – especially when doubts arise and are conquered.

I agree. Doubt seems to have a way of opening the heart. It breeds compassion and empathy for others, for if you think you have no doubt you’re fooling yourself. In fact I don’t think you can have quality faith without wrestling with doubt- such faith is full of repression and lacks foundation in spiritual reality. Well said Mozer!
