Black Sheep

Dispersed among white flocks

Sad and lonely black sheep graze

She doesn’t play with the others

She doesn’t dance to the popular flute

She’s from a different breed

Like her gloomy coat

She’s darker, deeper, richer and sad

No, they don’t come in flocks

For no shepherd can understand them

She has no friends

for no two black sheep are the same
